Additional Hints:
Ever seen a binary clock?

2.  How to solve this puzzle.

Start with the hint:  Ever seen a binary clock?

Read the binary clock's columns from bottom to top and from left to right.  Notice the numbers on the right edge.  These numbers give you the value of each row.

The first column is = 1, because only the bottom block is colored, and the bottom row has a value of 1.  Since no other block is colored in column 1, the value of the first column is 1.

The second column is = 7, because (starting from the bottom) the first three blocks are colored.  The bottom block has a value of 1, the next block has a value of 2, and the next block has a value of 4.  When you add these values together, you will get 7 (1 + 2 + 4 = 7).

The third column is = 4.  The only colored block is in the row that has a value of 4; therefore the value of this column is 4.

And so on.....

3.  Solve the puzzle.

Use the method described in Step 2 to solve the puzzle, because this puzzle uses the same concept as a binary clock.  Starting at the bottom, the row values are:  1, 2, 4, 8.

The Puzzle

Column 1 = 4
The only colored dot is in the 3rd row up, which has a value of 4; therefore, column 1 is = 4.

Column 2 = 4

Column 3 = 5
The dot in column 3 row 1 has a value of 1, and the dot in column 3 row 3 has a value of 4; therefore column 3 is = 5.

Column 4 = 6
Column 5 = 9
Column 6 = 6
Column 7 = 3
Column 8 = 0
Column 9 = 8
Column 10 = 9
Column 11 = 4
Column 12 = 0
Column 13 = 3
Column 14 = 0
Column 15 = 1
