Another Cache hidden by Zima - her first puzzle, so of course she made it all about what she knows best - dogs!!

1. means “badger dog” in German. Has a long body and are eager hunters that excel both above and below the ground.
7. referred to as the “grey ghost” because of the distinctive color of its short, sleek coat.
9. Originally used to locate freezing and helpless travelers during snowstorms, Beethoven’s breed now uses his intelligence and strength in various dog sports and family companion dogs.

ReplyDeleteEasy crossword solve, but wondering how to use the information!!
ReplyDeleteThe Puzzle says "A = sum of the green squares divided by three". It also says, that for the crossword only, A=1, B=2, C=3. So if the two green squares are 'H' and 'M', you total up the numerical equivalent of 'H' and 'M' between 1 and 26, which is 8 + 13 = 21, then divide by three. So A=7. We haven't done the rest yet...
DeleteWish there was a Geochecker for this puzzle. I have coordinates that are just off the bike trail for the solve if anybody wants to compare theirs with mine.
