1.  Here is the puzzle.

***This cache is not at the posted coordinates***

In our busy lives, we pass many things we see but don't really see. These things are hidden in plain sight. This cache highlights one such item. Finding this Hidden In Plain Site cache will require a little deductive and detective work and a keen eye.

TO BEGIN you will need to discover the exact location of the pictured plaque. Here's the only hint you'll get from me: It is within 2 miles of the bogus coordinates. That's it. You're on your own.
With a little detective work (or a good local memory) you should be able to figure it where it is.

WHEN YOU HAVE FOUND THE LOCATION OF WHERE THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN, use your GPS to determine your coordinates when standing directly in front of the plaque. (NOTE:From the South side)

TO FIND THE FINAL use your coordinates when in front of the plaque and subtract .241 from the North coordinates  and subtract .193 from the West coordinates.

When you are done, you should have a set of coordinates that look similar to this

 North 46 * 00.XXX (minus 241)
West 091 *26.YYY (minus 193)

Good Luck!

Additional Hints (Encrypt)
A Classic HCH Hide. A few different ways approach GZ. "Could" be a little soggy during the right seasons.

2.  Solve the puzzle.

Here is a website that will provide helpful information.

TO FIND THE FINAL use your coordinates when in front of the plaque and subtract .241 from the North coordinates  and subtract .193 from the West coordinates.

Solved Coordinates:
N 46 00.590 - .241, W 91 28.908 - .193
N 46 00.349, W 91 28.715
But wait, this CO is a sneaky little bugger.  Look very carefully at the solved coordinates.
N 46 00.349, W 91 28.715

When you are done, you should have a set of coordinates that look similar to this

 North 46 * 00.XXX (minus 241)
West 091 *26.YYY (minus 193)

Use Google Maps to compare the two potential solutions to determine which one seems the most reasonable.

Google MapsN 46 00.349, W 91 28.715  (not soggy)
Google MapsN 46 00.349, W 91 26.715  (soggy)

There is no GeoChecker for this puzzle (Gee, I wonder why!), so you will need to choose the solution that seems most reasonable.

HCH is one tricky little Cheeze Curd!

    1. I placed a permanent image of the Historical Marker on this blog, in addition to the key information from the website.

    2. Rib Ticklers, How do you find these sites? I went to the http://wisconsinhistoricalmarkers.blogspot.com/2015/01/wisconsin-registered-landmarks.html and had no luck. When I searched the Sawyer county the site said it was down.

    3. We found this site by dropping the partial image of the sign into Google Images, looking for the same image, then following the links to the web pages that had the picture. Of the sites that we found, this one seemed the most useful.
